Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows she saw in the grass inspired her to work for months on a technique, which in contrast did not portray the object she chose onto canvas. The subject becomes a replica that is its own with the canvas carrying its own interpretation painted by the object, especially when it's a live thing or food item, such as fruit or people. Alexa Meade's paintings are ephemeral, but the photo is what remains. Techniques of photography and painting are closely coordinated and result in a two-dimensional, flat space which achieves trompe-l'oeil. The only areas of the photo like hair and eyes, display the third dimension. Meade occasionally integrates painted models in the space surrounding them. They are able to engage with the environment she has created. The boundaries between performance, photography, installation and painting are thus dissolved.
