The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress (Congressional Award Board of Directors) confers the Horizon Award a special recognition. The Horizon Award is presented to people from the private sector that have helped expand possibilities for all Americans by their personal achievements, and have set exceptional examples to young people by their achievements in life. Tom was an excellent teammateand was extremely grateful to be part of such a skilled and experienced group, practicing and playing hard whenever his Magnum schedule allowed. .... He was accommodating to all of us and we thoroughly enjoyed the huge crowds that displaced our normal tiny group of couples and friends for the national tourney matches. ".
